Older Adults - How We Help

This program introduces a newcomer who is 50 years of age and older to a Canadian volunteer. The volunteer will meet with the newcomer once a week for 2 hours over a 4 - 6 month period. This is a great support to help a newcomer improve their English skills, and provide friendship for the newcomer as they adjust to their new life in Canada. The volunteers are very effective at bringing newcomers out into mainstream Canadian life and introducing them to other people and services in the community.

Join the Older Adult Program and enjoy the many benefits
